The Campfire Grill, Bridgton Maine

Meagan and I went out to see Twilight at The Magic Lantern. I forgot to take a picture of my beer or popcorn but afterwards we went out for a drink and a snack at Campfire Grill. Actually my drink was a snack too!
Bacon infused Bloody Mary.
Deer Chips - yum! House made potato chips with melted Gorgonzola and scallions.

Poutine, pancakes, and burgers and the kids were so happy!

The Great Lost Bear

We went to a late lunch after a day full of doctors appointments. I really should have taken the pictures before we scarfed down our meal!

Black Bear Cafe, Naples ME

An impromptu night out after helping friends move in Raymond. We have been meaning to go for years! I am so glad we went and look forward to going again. The bathrooms decorated with old LP covers was the best. The men's bath room wins because of the awesome Back Catalog Pink Floyd cover.

I loved the cork and sparkle bear menu cover.

Enjoyed a pint of Guinness and their awesome bread sticks.  Really the bread sticks were awesome!

I never thought a chicken and waffle would be so good! This Pomegranate Maple Pulled Chicken Belgian Waffle, with a dollop of herbed sour cream,  was awesome!

SP had the Cassoulet. It was delicious and my first taste of rabbit. I loved the little cauldron it was in. While it was filling with the side of mashed potatoes and carrots, we honestly feel it was too expensive for so little food.

And finally, my Maine Red Potato Pie, with caramelized onions in lieu of the bacon.

Pleasant Lake House, New London NH

The prepping and cooking of a Small Mouse Bass caught by my daughter Pickle.  She was so proud of her accomplishment, even though she refused to hold it for the pictures.
With pictures in a completely random order, many hands prepping a homegrown Eggplant Parmesan.
More apples and peanut butter and of course a salad in a glass.

The Burning Tree, Otter Creek ME

SP made reservations for my 40th birthday at The Burning Tree in Otter Creek, which is just south of Bar Harbor Maine.

The sustainable and locally grown and gardened menu is creative and innovative and promises to delight.

For an appetizer I had the most delectable, amazing, and creative Gorgonzola Bombolini and Beet Salad (pictured above). it was literally a non-sweet donut filled with Gorgonzola which, when deep friend, was a liquid center of delight. It was served with a home made almond butter.

Shane's appetizer was one of the local hen clams - it truly is as large as a small hen.

My entree was the amazing Indian style cabbage leaves stuffed with a rustic potato and garam marsala mash served over a tomato turnip sauce with a coriander mint cashew cream. Yes, it was vegan. :D

The sides were a beautiful curried cauliflower with a nasturtium garnish.

SP's entree was one of the specials and I wish I had written the description down.

My desert was a wonderful razzle berry vodka drink, pictured with SPs salmon shirt as a back drop.

Diamond Cove, Great Diamond Island ME

The annual Diamond Cove Lobster bake. Thanks to Ms. Judy and the Lee clan for including us! Even Baby got his hands into it and everyone gave me their knuckles - the most lobster I have eaten since Junior High! Thanks all!
